    The Queensport Tavern & Motel is in the industrial area oh Hemmant, and if you want to get here from the airport without a car, your only option is a taxi (which will cost about $50.00). This place has two sections, the bar/restaurant/gaming area and the motel section.

    The bar area is quiet and clean, with no rowdy patrons to ruin your night or meal. The service was great – the older gentleman who was serving behind the bar was friendly and multi-tasking. His service reminds me of good country hospitality. The restaurant was opened due to higher number of guest (apparently, they are closed on a Sunday), and the food was real value for money. The $20 steak deal was great, juicy and well-presented.

    The room is what you would expect from a motel – having the essentials for an overnight stay. The only problem was the smell. It smelt of manure or some other industrial smell. This is caused due to the toilet window having a mess section that cannot be closed. To counteract this, you need to close the bathroom door throughout your stay. The bed is comfortable and you get four pillows. The shower has pressure and hot water. The TV is super small (smaller than a computer monitor screen), so if you need glasses, make sure you don’t forget them!

    Overall, the room is worth the $99 you pay. The location is an added bonus, and the hospitality is worth it.

    N.B. The mosquitos around here are savage, make sure you have some insect repellent.
